2013 Race 7 - Canadian GP: Race

Dominant Vettel storms to maiden Canadian Grand Prix win

Sebastian Vettel claimed his first ever victory at the Canadian Grand Prix ahead of Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton. It was a dominant performance from the German Red Bull driver who never looked in trouble throughout the weekend. Alonso drove well to climb four places into second place, passing Hamilton seven laps before the finish. Paul Di Resta impressively climbed ten placed to finish in seventh whilst Felipe Massa rose eight positions to end in 8th. After a brilliant qualifying, Bottas was unable to finish the job as the young rookie dropped back to 14th after a disappointing day for Williams.

Sebastian Vettel claims pole position for Canadian Grand Prix

Sebastian Vettel beat Lewis Hamilton to pole position in the third qualifying session whilst Bottas sits third on the grid after a wet qualifying. Raikkonen just made the top 10 in 9th place whilst Massa crashed in the second session to end up in 16th position. It was another poor qualifying for Mclaren as both Button and Perez missed out on making the top 10. It was a bad day for Force India and Grosjean as the two biggest shocks of the day came in the first session as both Di Resta and Grosjean were knocked out.
