ATP World Tour Finals (London): Day 8

Djokovic wins ATP Tour Finals
Novak Djokovic capped off a fantastic year with a straight sets victory over world number one Rafael Nadal. The Serbian player and world number proved too strong for a tired looking Nadal. Djokovic held onto a break of serve to take the opening set as Nadal looked out of sorts. Nadal managed a minor fightback but failed to compete with Djokovic once a rally started. Djokovic broke the Spaniard's serve and held onto it to claim the second set and match.

My Opinion:
It was the final everyone was expecting to see but it did not live up to expectations. Djokovic played to his best abilities but sadly Nadal did not. The momentum of the match was heading in only one direction which was in favour of Djokovic. It seemed as though Nadal could not find a way past the stern defence of Djokovic and that ultimately cost him the match. Djokovic played really well and deserved to win the match and the title. It was a fitting final match of the season and I am really looking forward to the new season which starts in January.

Final Result:
Djokovic beat Nadal 6-3,6-4

Performance of the Tournament: Federer beating Del Potro in three sets.
