2013 Race 14 - Korean Grand Prix (Korea International Circuit): Race

Vettel dominates Korean Grand Prix

Sebastien Vettel claimed yet another victory in an amazing run of form during the second half of the season which has put him on the brink of winning the championship title for the fourth time. Kimi Raikkonen earned the drive of the day award for climbing seven places to finish second after managing his tyres superbly which meant the Finn only had to make one pit stop. Romain Grosjean ensured Lotus had a great day after holding onto his third place to take the final podium spot.

My Opinion:

Red Bull: Mixed emotions here. Delighted that Vettel stormed to victory but disappointed that Webber had to retire after suffering an engine fire. Not surprised that Vettel won at all but I felt for Webber when his engine failed on as he often suffers something to put him out of a race.
Ferrari: Both Ferrari's were in the points but they were off the leaders pace. Alonso dropped a place whilst Massa dropped down three. Improvements need to be made.
Mercedes: A similar story for Mercedes with both cars dropping down the order. Hamilton dropped three to fifth whilst Rosberg dropped three to seventh. Disappointed by Mercedes here.
Lotus: Amazing performance from team Lotus with two podium finishes. Raikkonen managed his tyres so well that he only needed to make one pit stop whilst Grosjean held onto third well.
Mclaren: Both Mclarens gained points which has been the story of their season. Button climbed three places whilst Perez took the last point but Mclaren are still looking for better results.
Force India: A terrible weekend overall for Force India as both drivers failed to finish.
Sauber: Promising progress for Sauber. Hulkenberg drove superbly to rise three places and finish fourth but Gutierrez just missed out on a point.
Toro Rosso: Not a good weekend for Torro Rosso as both of their drivers failed to finish.
Caterham: Managed to beat Marussia but that was about it as Pic stayed ahead of Van Der Garde.
Marussia: Bianchi finished ahead of Chilton but they were the slowest cars on the track.
