2013 Race 11 - Belgium GP (Spa): Qualifying

Hamilton claims fourth pole position in a row

Lewis Hamilton took his fourth pole position in a row at Spa. The Mercedes beat both Red Bulls as Vettel beat his team mate Webber to second. Nico Rosberg managed to take fourth whilst an amazing performance from Paul Di Resta sees his Force India start in fifth. It was a better day for Jenson Button who qualified sixth ahead of both the Lotus cars of Romain Grosjean and Kimi Raikkonen. Another poor qualifying for Ferrari as they continue their struggles on a Saturday with Alonso and Massa completing the top 10 grid lineup.

 My Opinion:

Lewis Hamilton continues to impress in his Mercedes as the car clearly has some pace in it. Hamilton is getting used to being on pole as this was his fourth in a row. Hopefully, Hamilton can back his performance today in the race tomorrow as that's what has been letting him down. Vettel will be looking to pass Hamilton as soon as possible to claim yet another win whilst Webber will be looking for at least a podium finish. Rosberg in his Mercedes will be looking to pounce on any mistakes from the front three to claim a podium spot. Amazing effort from Di Resta as he showed his Force India has some real pace in it. He will be looking to maintain his position in fifth but expect a tough race for him. Button will be pleased with one his better grid spots this year in sixth. Both Grosjean and Raikkonen will be looking to climb the grid in the race and I expect them both to pass Button and Di Resta. Similarly, I expect the Ferrari's to climb the order, especially Alonso who is still in the hunt for the championship title. Spa is normally an action packed race and I hope tomorrow is no exception.
